Perception Perfection

I color my hair at home to save money
My hair is dried out and the color looks funny

My skin is quite dull each morning I wake up
I use the wrong cleanser, sunscreen and makeup

I drink too much coffee, my teeth are not white
Never floss in the morning, only sometimes at night

My polish, all chipped, not nice and neat
You could sand wood with the heels of my feet

I don’t exercise each day as much as I should
I don’t feed my family all the right food

I fail to recycle, I leave on the power
I use too much water on the days I do shower

I read to my kids but not often enough
When they do play it’s with all the wrong stuff

I don’t call my friends as much as I ought
Date night with hubby doesn’t happen a lot

The bed is not made, the kitchen’s a mess
It’s four o’clock and I’m not even dressed

I don’t understand it, I feel like a sham
But God, you accept me just as I am

My life is not perfect, yet You always care

My list of complaints is petty and small
But You listen patiently as I name them all

Posting here and there

It's been a while since I posted anything. What started as a break from the computer during our one week vacation turned into over a month away from my blog. And I started to question why I should even write a blog. What do I possibly have to add the the already full world of blogs? After a few words of encouragement from my friends, I decided to give it one more shot.

I may not be able to post something every day, or even every week. But when I do stumble across something interesting this is where you will find me passing it along!
